Well, all is ready. 15 of the tribe of 16 will descend on Villa Taj on Thursday, December 28th. I am sure the region will never be the same after the worlds smartest and most beautiful people gather in the desert outside Marrakesh. There a few details remaining which I will post on shortly. It seems that a number of us arrive into Casablanca (I love writing that) on the 28th and plan the train to Marrakesh (I love writing that too). Some coordination might fulfill one or more of your obligations to baby site Michael for a minute or two, More to come. I also have local travel recommendations (e.g. drivers from our host). So, as we count down the next 9 days could I ask that each respond or comment to this post so I know if 'this thing is working?'

Simply cannot wait! It's becoming increasingly more difficult to concentrate on actual Christmas-at-home preparations - some things will slip through I'm sure; but not concerned. ;) I practiced vacationing this past couple days with a short trip to New Orleans - I'm still good at it! We'll see what the international twist throws into the mix, as it's been a few years. I'm open to everything but agree, it will be difficult to leave the oasis!
I was thinking something around the same lines but it will be hard to escape the paradise we will be staying in.
I have some arrangements considered for a day trip and dinner in Marrakesh.. Desert are a couple of variations -- camels, four-wheelers and old school. Natasha and I will ride off into the sunset at some point on a camel and not return to morning.
We have been feeling the hype for the last week now. The shopping is done, the menu options are making me hungry and the excitement is real! Is anyone already planning desert and Marrakech trips?
